Sail the Gulf of Mexico
Sailing is a great family sport for all to enjoy and sailing the Gulf of Mexico is a great experience for all.
Soon you will be able to set sail on your own with family and friends. We can teach you how to pilot on your own with confidence. Usually new sailors will need four sessions (about three to four hours each).
Our lessons are taught aboard one of our J/Boats, the “corvette” of sailboats. They are fun while easy to handle, even for the beginner.
J/Boats are some of the best boats to learn to sail on because of their simplicity in design. Not only are they perfect for just cruising along, they make great racers. We offer two different J/Boats to sail, J/80 and J/105.
The J/80 is a 26’ day sailor. It has a big boat feel, while the crew doesn’t need to be highly experienced to pilot the vessel. It is a great boat to take the family out into the open waters and sail the Gulf of Mexico.
The J/105 (35’) offers everything the J/80 does, just bigger. Although the size is bigger, it can be easily piloted by only two people. The beauty of more space to spread out.
Our training will get you out there in the open sea enjoying all that it has to offer. We teach at your pace and skill level. It doesn’t matter if you have never even been on a boat before or want to polish up on your sailing skills, we work with you. Our goal is to get you out there and show you and your family how much fun the sport of sailing is.
